The optimal solution for the air conditioning of hotel rooms proposed by Roccheggiani, is assured by three-stage recovery RRU-FA air handling units and chilled beams used as room terminals that provide cooling, heating and ventilation. Each room is self-managed by the control panel that permits to adjust the temperature to the desired level.

The air handling unit is the core of the chilled beam system; it provides the renewal of air in the rooms, as specified by the actual rules, and ensures the correct humidity level.

The TFI is an active chilled beam created for flush mounting, normally disguised in a false ceiling. It is equipped with a diffuser provided with adjustable fins for the air distribution in the environment, and can be supplied with return air grille. The chilled beam TFI is easily installed in the ceiling of the entrance area of the room. It is suitable as a replacement of old fan coil units. It can also be equipped with our airflow control system, allowing to supply primary air only in environments in which it is actually required. This allows a further, significant energy saving.

The TFI chilled beam system for flush mounting provides the following advantages:

  • Ambient noise levels very low due to the absence of moving parts
  • Maintenance costs almost absent (no filters, no condensation drainage networks, lack of moving parts that can be damaged)
  • A perfect architectural integration without any floor occupation

TFP1 is an active chilled beam with 1 way air spread pattern, developed for wall installation. Thanks to the aesthetic aspect, linear and clean, and because it doesn’t require the presence of a false ceiling, it is particularly suitable for the application in hotel rooms, installed above the bed head. It is available in different aesthetic finishes and various colours. It is equipped with the patented Roccheggiani air modification launch system that guarantees no performance reduction, and also with the integrated system for regulating the air flow rate. The visible portion is independent from the length of the active part.

Onboard integrated automatic regulation

System based on a programmable microprocessor control, specifically programmed for efficiency improvement of HVAC/R systems; it controls and monitors the AHU’s functions and setpoints, communicates with the hotel supervision system for a sensible management of energy consumption. 

Some main characteristics of the Connectivity System are:

  • It remotely controls the units by means of a modem and by internet also with a simple browser 

  • it informs the authorized staff, wherever they are, about possible alarm situations, also by SMS and e-mail

  • it builds logs of alarms and graphs for an accurate diagnostic of the unit 

  • Interoperability
    • it can work with distributed intelligence and with integrated solutions, receiving and sharing information from and with third party devices in order to:

         -          have an optimized handling/management/control of the units

         -          ensure a high level of system efficiency (energy savings)

Security:

         -          No risk in transmitting or exchanging important information or data, even if through “open” nets

         -          Different accesses to the unit, according either to the maintenance staff or the supervision staff

         -          Safe access by means of internet or by VPN (virtual private network)

Possible supervision of the whole Building Management System with dedicated and customizable architectures.
